Gather round, Adventurers.

Another month has come and gone, and 2026 is racing by far too quickly, so here I am, late again with my monthly update. I have a good reason this time. I spent the last few days at a friend’s wedding, so I haven’t had a chance to jot down my thoughts. Could I have been better prepared and done it earlier? Sure. Did I? No.

September was super exciting for me. I appeared in not one, but two podcasts! Me! It was crazy. My first show was on the What’s Your Weird podcast hosted by Griffin, who is such a babe. It’s definitely a show worth checking out, as it really opens your eyes to weird and wonderful hobbies you probably hadn’t given much thought to. My weirdness was my writing. More precisely, we spoke about the struggles of being a writer and how my brain works, constantly wrestling with narratives and ‘what ifs’.

My next appearance was on the Christian Reeve Podcast, hosted by Christian, who, as above, is also such a babe. We spoke about all sorts to do with my past, including my time living in London (and why I am not anymore), my time working in McDonald’s and the Television industry, being a software engineer, and then, of course, my journey as I attempt to become a writer.

I might be biased, but I would say both shows are incredible and well worth checking out. They can be found in all the places you would usually find your podcasts, with video versions on YouTube if one would wish to see me babble in person. I’ll pop some links at the bottom of this newsletter.

My writing is coming along well. The Office/Atlantis mash-up is progressing well, and as promised, I have another poll available for you to help me shape the world of the book. This next one is a doozy. I need help naming the world the book will be set in. So please, head on over to this link and please lend your input to this world we will be shaping together. Aside from that, I have also been working on the sequel to my sci-fi novel coming out next year. Yes, the first one hasn’t been released yet, but the whole point of me delaying my release is so I have more material ready to launch with when the time comes, so making progress on that is important. I did release a video on my social channels explaining the plot of the first book, so feel free to head over there and check it out if you missed it.

Aside from that, what nerdy content have I consumed… Well, I finally watched The Mandalorian and Grogu as that came out on Disney Plus. It was okay. I don’t really understand why it was a film, if I’m honest. It didn’t really conclude anything and just felt like an elongated episode. There are much better episodes of Mando out there already, albeit much worse ones as well. I’m also still working through Widow’s Bay, which is beyond fantastic, and have my sights set on Lanterns as my next series after a good friend absolutely raved about it to me in the pub over the weekend.

And that’s been my September, really. Just chugging away with bits here and there. October is set to be very exciting, however, as I am jetting off to Glasgow for FantasyCon this weekend. It’s my first time going, and I am beyond excited but also nervous, as I will be going on my lonesome and there is a good chance I will spend three days being an awkward loner, but I am confident it will be filled with lovely, like-minded fellows who will welcome me into the fold. I hope.

As always, I appreciate you for taking the time to read this through. I have plans in the future for deeper dives into my writing process or the pros and cons of certain approaches; I just haven’t had the time to write them yet. If you are not already following my socials, I would absolutely love all the support I can get over there (especially TikTok. Insta is great for getting comments and spawning conversations, whereas TikTok is a bit more silent).

Once again, the link for the latest poll can be found here

Thank you all.

Until next time.
